Dear Colleagues:

Following the Osaka meeting in 2015, we are very pleased to announce that the 5th joint meeting in the series on International Symposium on Space Radiation and Particle Radiotherapy (5th ISSRPRT meeting) will be held in Suzhou, China, on May 24-26, 2017. This joint meeting will include the 8th International Workshop on Space Research (IWSRR) and the 17th Meeting on Ion Beams in Biology and Medicine (IBIBAM). Enclosed please find a welcoming remark from the co-presidents of the meeting, Professors Zhifang Chai and Tom Hei. In recognition of your standing in the space radiation and particle therapy field, we will be much honored if you could accept our invitation to serve as a member of the Scientific Committee of this conference and guide us in the planning of the various scientific sessions. Based on the past meetings in this series, we are expecting 150-200 attendees. We plan to have 4 keynote lectures of 45 minutes each and 80 oral presentations of 20 minutes each. There will be two parallel sessions during the three days meeting. Enclosed please find a tentative agenda of the meeting. The First Announcement of this meeting will go live on the website:

We are looking for session chairs. It will be great if you can help by volunteering for this task.
